Description

A substyle of Specialty IPA. Hoppy, bitter, and reasonably solid like an American IPA with some caramel, toffee, or potentially dark organic product malt character. Holding the dryish finish and slender body that makes IPA's so drinkable, a Red IPA is somewhat more flavorful and malty than an American IPA without being sweet or hefty.
