The winners of the European Beer Challenge were announced in London. Beer from 39 countries was evaluated by a jury of representatives of leading European companies.
In total, more than 240 awards – bronze, silver, gold, and double gold – were presented. “Double gold” in the category of Trappist blondes received Blond Chessie Dubbel from the American Vizsla Brewing. The best quadrupel was named Belgian Leffe Ambrze.
The two gold medals in the American IPA category were awarded to Davoser Craft Beer IPA (Switzerland), Varionica Deep Dive IPA (Croatia), and Waldhaus Hopfensturm (Germany).
In the APA category, The Pola Del Pub American Pale Ale from Colombia was given double gold. De Flurkbrouwers was named the best American wheat beer in the American style.
German Waldhaus Schwarzwald Weisse and Seven Bro7hers Watermelon Wheat Beer from Britain were among the second golds in the Weitzen category.
In the triplets, the highest award went to British Frome Brewing You Can Call Me V and Belgian Tripel Karmeliet, Tripel Kanunnik, and MAK Es Pruuve.
In the Session IPA category, the jury awarded the French La Cristal IPA du Mont Blanc and Hey Joe Session IPA from South Africa double gold.
In the NEIPA, the highest awards were awarded to the American Societe Bulbous Flowers and Ulfey from Icelandic Borg Brugghus.
The organizers of the competition are accepting applications for participation in 2022. Until May 17, you can register at a discounted price of 150 pounds per product. It will be necessary to send beer to the competition in March 2022. All breweries are accepted to take part, including those who do not sell beer in Europe or Britain.
