Velvet Shades

5.0% ABV, Velvet Shades is a Czech Dark Lager (Tmavé Pivo).

Brewed with a multiple-step mash regime ending in a single decoction, we’ve brewed what is probably our most style-specific beer and it’s a real game-changer for our lager program.

Gentle aromas of brown sugar, banana bread, mocha, and raisin all rest easy atop the silken malt base mellowed out by ample time in the tank with some playful cellaring inspired by some industry legends. Saaz hops are there aplenty but never dominate and keep the sweeter aspects of this beer in check to make it a real drinking beer.

Goes perfectly with dimly lit rooms and comfy sofas.
