Description

The Old Testament relates how seven good years were followed by seven lean seasons. Currently, the world is certainly going through a rough spot, and let us hope things change soon. Our Uår (Bad Year) is a well-hopped Saison, a little dry and somewhat astringent, combining the virtues of Tettnanger, Goldings, and Styrian Bobek. The first is a delicate spice, the second an earthy and flowery ground, the third a twist of citric orange. To bring this flavor home we chose Fermentis T-58 to work its magic. The malt base is a simple one: Pilsner plus a little black malt, to produce a light golden hue. Bad Year it may be, but our Uår is certainly a fantastic food companion and makes a wonderful, regular pint.
