Description

Grimbergen Double Ambrée is an authentic and flavorful convent beer, eminent for its extraordinary even differentiation among hot and fruity notes.

Viewpoint: Dark mahogany tone, clear and thick durable froth with a special smooth espresso tone

NOSE: Strong scents of caramel and licorice blend with the more inconspicuous scents of red organic products, prunes, and roasted malt.

IN THE MOUTH: Full bodied beer with an articulated bitterness. Notwithstanding the predominant licorice and caramel, there are aromas of roasted malt, bitter orange, ready organic product, and macerated prunes.

Trailing sensation: Persistence of roasted malt, licorice, and prunes. The caramelized sugar syrup that delivers the shading gives this beer a prune-like fruitiness and light bitterness
