Description

Our Bresjnev beer, named after former Soviet leader, Leonid Brezhnev, is inspired by a mid-nineteenth century London recipe. The resulting stout is an absolute delight. We use malt varieties including pale ale, brown and black, and our single hop choice is the old-English aromatic Fuggles. Indeed, large quantities of hops are the rule, of the strong, dry kind. The product is a fine balance of spices and dark berries, contrasting well with all that roasted malt. The simple recipe for this stout captures the essence of vintage beers: carefully selected raw materials creating a complex and rich-tasting brewski. Bresjnev is a great choice with dark desserts, chocolate cake, or just by itself in a glass. Bresjnev won a gold medal in Barcelona Beer Challenge in 2016.
