The Original Schlenkerla Lentbeer is an unfiltered smokebeer, fermented as per the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. Base fermenting yeast gives the ruddy earthy colored lentbeer a characteristic darkness. Its smoky aroma is as of now perceptible in the smell, joined with a fine hoppy note. In the beverage the fullbodied, exceptionally drinkable lentbeer shows its solid malty flavor, gathered together with the smokey taste and a light bitterness. Because of the supporting yeast, the Original Schlenkerla Lentbeer has the "Brotzeit effectively included" (German word for evening nibble).
