Description

Before, because of absence of cleanliness, drinking water was typically dirtied with sickness causing microorganisms. Beer didn't contain such pathogens, as it was bubbled and hopped. Therefore, until the finish of the 19th century, beer was the favored every day beverage. To keep a reasonable head, Bamberg's brewers had an uncommon brewing procedure to make low-alcohol beer. Hoppy, somewhat smoky and with just a limited quantity of alcohol the unfiltered Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Hansla brings back this old Bamberg brewing convention.
